My name is Isabella Littleford, and I bring over a decade of behind-the-scenes know-how in the world of fashion, always with a focus on how beauty and practicality merge.

With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that seamlessly blends a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.

If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with knowledge gained through a decade in the field. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!

Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as how to grab them for less, in the sections below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, take a look at my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!

Where were you able to get your pair?

Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!

Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .

How expensive are they?

When I bought my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their standard price is around $514.

You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

How is the fit?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with the golden goose a European 36.

They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Are they comfortable?

They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..

How durable are they?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

Do they feel better than other shoes?

These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you recommend them?

Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also be smart.

Best places to buy them cheaper?

Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.

  • GGoose.org – my source for these kicks!
  • Gilt – you can sign up for free!
  • Vestiaire Collection – it seems they are offering $50 off your first in-app purchase of $150 or more with code WELCOMEUS50
  • The Real Real – awesome bargains on new or almost new GG sneakers
  • Ebay – additional incredible scores on lightly worn pairs of Golden Goose shoes
  • @likeabandit – she shares a ton of GG finds on her IG stories, be on the lookout

Where could someone find a pair like yours?

I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .

How expensive are they?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.

How does the sizing run?

I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up

How comfy are they?

They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.

How durable are they?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.

Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
